‘A healthy mind lives in a healthy body.’ A world famous dictum states that. ‘The battle of waterloo was fought and won in the playing fields of Eton’. No better image can be portrayed about the importance of sports in character building. Various sports are played within the school premises to give maximum students the opportunity to participate in organised competitive games. These games develop in students the essential quality of sportsmanship, Friendship, Brotherhood and Comradeship, all vital for personality development. Inter-school & inter-house matches are regularly played by the children. Those who may not have an inclination nor have talent for sports are made to play in non player matches, which are conducted regularly. Games/Sports are not confined to one area. Both indoor and outdoor games play important role.
